Salmon ceasar salad is a regular meal we make for ourselves at home. We usually teriyaki the salmon too, it goes really well.

Rescuer, I have never thought about Lombards before, I don't think I have even noticed it! Looks good.

I really fancied a trip in February but was overruled I’m gutted as Mardi Gras looks fun especially the food!
Every time I read your reports I always add Lombards to the list be we still have never got there At least we finally ticked off Cowfish and NBC last year-I think I may need to try one of those dark cherry ciders

It’s fairly tucked away but a really good option for a chilled out lunch.

It’s been great. We’ve been really lucky with glorious weather other than last night when we were freezing😂 Mardi Gras has been great, I’d really recommend it.

Maybe you’ll get to Lombards in the summer. There is so much choice it’s hard to fit them all in.

Starbucks

Back at Aventura, headed to Starbucks a bit later than planned so choices were not as good.

Ds had the chicken biscuit which he thought was nice but not as good as his bacon cheddar thing.

Dh had a Monterey Jack and chorizo thing which he said was nice.

I had a cheese and ham croissant, the choices with no egg are limited. This was nice.
I also had an almond latte.

Just over $20.

I was annoyed as they didn’t have what I wanted so I had a rant then decided on chicken biscuit and it was good and I’d have it again if no smoked bacon and cheddar.

Edited at 03:23 PM.

Mythos

Decided on a late lunch in Mythos. There was a 45 minute wait but they texted us so we went off to Suess landings while we were waiting.

Ds had a frozen pina colada again, I had a corona and Dh had a bud.

I’d been reading about the form and spoon on the menu here. Grilled cheese on a bed of tomato Tuscan soup topped with pork belly. Ds and Dh both decided to have this, they both really liked it.

I had the lamb burger which was really tasty.

While we were there I managed to get a spot on the virtual line to ride the Mardi Gras floats. Third time. It was awesome.

It’s been a while since we have eaten there but it was really good. The price wasn’t too bad either.

It was all good. I’d go back, mine was better than mums burger.

Just spent an afternoon indoors away from the storm outside catching up. You've had some great meals and snacks. Glad you're having a good holiday and how great to be able to ride on the floats. Will you bringing your beads home? We got so many when we watched the parade a couple of years ago we had to leave loads behind as they would have been so heavy in the case!

It looks like you've had some great meals. A shame you didn't rate your meal at Confisco Grill, it was one of our Universal favourites last time we were there. We really enjoyed Mythos too. The lanyard was certainly great value for money.

Strong water tavern - sapphire falls

After a bit of packing we headed back across the road to sapphire falls. Being a Friday night it was pretty busy but we got a table.

Dh ordered a beer, Ds had a Diet Coke and I had a mojito. All good.

We ordered food and were told the kitchen was backed up so it would be slightly longer than normal. It was 40 minutes.

We had the buttermilk chicken tenders which were really nice.

The arroz con pollo which was okay.

The meatballs again which tasted slightly different but were still good.

The beef empanadas which were nice.

They had a guy playing guitar which was fairly loud at points.

I think we enjoyed our first visit more but it was still nice.

Really enjoying your report, thanks for taking the time to another one! Food looks fab for the most part. The Mardi Gras lanyard looks like a great idea. Always good to see food festivals!
