Universal for 2 nights first, check in to AKL 14th - I do keep checking MDE though in case I get a lucky glitch like several reported on here in recent months! 😄🤞

I think it also depends on whether there are EMH you can utilise at the parks.
We're going to Epcot in the morning for EMH (no fastpass) and then after an afternoon break we're off to HS where we've booked our fastpasses. Not sure if that was the best way of doing things, but we thought that if we did rope drope, we would get through a lot at Epcot without the need for any fastpasses. |

Always in for rope drop, with FP's around the 11, 12 and 1pm slot.
Depending on energy levels we will either call it a day around 4/5pm and head back to the villa or blast thru to the end of the day.

No we would very rarely leave a park at lunchtime. After the first three fast passes we would try to pick up some more, see if there are any walk ons and maybe go to another park.
We did sometimes go back to the hotel at lunchtime for a few hours this year when we were at Universal, but that was because it was a ten minute walk. I would not pop back to the hotel when at Disney even though we would be onsite. |

I don’t know how people go from rope drop to fireworks without a break! We go to a park for rope drop, leave noon-1 then a nice nap/pool time at hotel. Back out at 5ish till fireworks. I am 28 but couldn’t keep going all day like that especially in the heat!
We normally make fastpasses for our morning park unless we want to ride something at sunset (safaris) or after dark (7DMT). |

We either do mornings or evenings. Our preference over the years has been to get to the parks around 4pm for a couple of hours. We don’t do long stints in the parks.
