Crystal River/Manatee swim

We were staying in Spring Hill and went up to Crystal River. We booked a swim with the Manatees. The company we used were American Pro Dive. We met at their office at 7am to have a chat and get suited before going across the road down a dirt track.

To board the boat, sunrise coming up over the waters was beautiful the water was calm birds flitting about oh it was such an exciting time we had my niece who is a wheelchair user with us who did not want to swim so I stayed On board with her whilst Vic and my other Niece went into swim/Snorkel they loved it when the Manatee came slowly along side of them the Manatee really didn’t seem to mind all these humans stroking interacting with them ,we didn’t miss out on the boat it was just as enjoyable for us watching the Manatee come right up to our boat and rub their snout on the rudder then making noises we could also stoke them we loved it.

Divers go in with you, the water is as it states is crystal clear but cold it cost us around $111 for 4 of us 2 in the water 2 in the boat we also bought a DVD of our tour which included all of us on the boat and in the water so no one missed out, the music on the DVD was Jimmy Buffett

Late afternoon we went to eat at Crackers. Great Ribs and Grouper well worth a visit if you have a boat you can dock it up here.
